The Child Abuse Prevention Center is dedicated to protecting children and families by providing resources, support, and education to families. Our goal is to proactively prevent abuse before it occurs and to be a resource to families in need.

We proudly serve children and parents across the state of Alabama, offering vital support and educational services in thirteen counties.
Is there a cost for your services?
Most of our services are offered free or at a low cost because we believe every family deserves access to the resources they need to keep their children safe.
Who can seek help from the Child Abuse Prevention Center?
Any parent, guardian, or caregiver can seek assistance from the center. We also welcome teachers, healthcare providers, and community members who have concerns about a child's well-being.
How do I sign up for your programs?
You can complete an intake form on the page of the program you’re interested in or you can call us directly at (205) 801-5151 to sign up.
I want to receive resources, but I’m afraid to ask for help myself. Do I have to use my name to ask for help?
No, we accept anonymous recommendations for our services.
Are your services confidential?
Yes, all services provided by the center are confidential. We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all who seek our help. We only assist families who are open to receiving the assistance once offered.
Do you offer prenatal services?
Yes, we support families in the prenatal stage through age 17.
